Tonight saw DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS Guitarist NOBBY HENDRIX enter for a rare session at POPPO BABB STUDIOS. NOBBY laid down his Guitar tracks for the DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS track "FUDD" originally recorded in 1985! Photos and Video were taken, and the Video of NOBBY playing another D.I.P favorite "JAMAICA FAREWELL" can be seen HERE. WOLFY WARPLOY & WARREN PEACE now have to be drafted in to finish off the recording of "FUDD" which will feature on the first NEW release by DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS in over 20 YEARS!!!!!!!

NOBBY HENDRIX has just finished recording guitar for the "WHERE ARE YOU NOW?" track, he also recorded an informal jam session with WARREN PEACE on drums, Tracks that were recorded where:- "HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN", "ALL THE WAY", "I'VE FORGOTTEN THE WORD" & also a NEW WARREN PEACE penned track "I'M PROGRESSING WITH MY DEMOLITION". Also NOBBY is heavily involved in the D.I.P lyrics page, check out the link on the D.I.P homepage to see all the new lyrics being added there. NOBBY has also revealed that he has written a new song "HE'S A WANKER"

WOLFY WARPLOY is currently still working on his first solo CD, ROCK N ROLL CIRCUS. He and WARREN were recently in POPPO BABB together working on some of the tracks for WOLFY'S album. WOLFY was demo-ing a longer version of "WAR MACHINE". WOLFY says that this is a more complete version but it's still not finished as it is quite multi-layered. WOLFY is also getting on the ROLAND TD6-K V Drum Kit and is impressed with the new found flexibility of the LIVE drum sound. WOLFY is a seasoned drummer and will be recording the drum parts to his new album. Wolfy will be returning to POPPO BABB soon to record more new stuff as well as continue with the Re-recording of DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS TRACKS.

WARREN PEACE has just revealed details of his debut single. WARREN has shelved plans to release an ALBUM first and started work on an E.P entitled :- "THE ADAGIO PRINCIPLE". WARREN explains:- "With the new changes to POPPO BABB it is so much easier to record there! but with any new equipment comes the challenges of learning how the thing works!". "I thought I would cut my teeth on a 4 Track E.P rather than go full out with a 12 track Album!". Warren has revealed the track listing but states this is an early version and could be revised at any time! Tracklisting:- "THE KINDNESS OF JAPAN", "PARSON'S NOSE", "WARREN PEACE BATTLES BULIMIA" & "UPSIDE DOWN". The last track was originally recoded by THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN. WARREN is also excited that D.I.P are recording again and can't wait to start work on the next track!

Very Interesting news for you here at The Big Haircuts, THE FOX mentioned about the fact that he had met PAUL BREWIS at an airport last year. For those of you that don't know Paul was guitarist in a band with Wolfy & Warren back in 1990 called "TORTURED SOULS". Paul told The Fox that he and his younger brother Phil had recently joined respected NWOBHM Legends BLITZKREIG. Sure enough after a quick visit to their website revealed Paul was now playing the Bass & Phil was drummer. BIG Haircuts shout goes out to the Brothers Brewis and any news from Paul will be posted on the Big Haircuts!

Tonight saw plenty of Action at POPPO BABB RECORDING STUDIOS Not only was WOLFY WARPLOY back in the studio, but tonight saw the Return of THE FOX! Singer with DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS in 1984! As Warren Peace had also dropped into the Studio this was a momentous occasion in the D.I.P story. This was the first time the 3 members had been in a recording environment for 22 Years!!!! THE FOX and WARREN PEACE sat in on the further recording of WOLFY WARPLOY'S solo album. WOLFY recorded a blistering version of The Foo Fighters classic "Monkey Wrench" As with the previous track "HERO" WOLFY played all instruments and sang all Vocals to the track.

Coming soon you will be able to hear MP3 clips of all the songs WOLFY is working on for his first solo album "Rock and Roll Circus"

THE FOX is currently getting a band together with WOLFY, this band will be a mega heavy outfit in the spirit of Slipknot, we will keep you posted of news of the project as it develops

To start 2006 off with a bang how about the release of the NEW DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS CD!!

That's right kids, SOUNDS OF THE DESERT is released today. A full 14 months since THE INCREDIBLY NAUSIATING EXTREAMLY DIRTY DIPSTICKS, was released in November 2004. The CD has 26 tracks culled from 2 separate practice sessions at DESERT SOUNDS RECORDING STUDIOS. The line up on this CD is:- NOBBY HENDRIX- Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums / WOLFY WARPLOY- Vocals, Bass, Guitar, Drums / WARREN PEACE- Drums,Bass,Vocals. More Track listing news to follow soon.

Also in 2006 will see the completion of THE FLYING STOOL RECORDING STUDIO. Which is being founded by Wolfy Warploy, Early details are still sketchy at this point but Wolfy is overseeing the project and will be keeping us posted on developments!

Work has started on the remastering of the 3rd DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS cd "Sounds of the Desert" Tracks will be taken from sessions from:- 19th December 1985, 23rd January 1986, 30th January 1986 & a recently discovered 16th January 1986 (Previously thought lost!) There is no track listing as of yet but tracks that could see the light of day for the first time on CD could include:- HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN, ANARCHY IN THE UK, HALLOWEEN & SHE LIVED TO DIE. Plenty to look forward to in 2006 for D.I.P fans! Album 4 (untitled) should be out soon after.

DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS Drummer WARREN PEACE released his 2nd solo Demo CD today on POPPO BABB RECORDS. The CD is entitled "MAYBE..PERHAPS...YES" and was recorded between October and December 2005. In an EXCLUSIVE interview soon to be posted in the D.I.P Homepage WARREN talks about the Album and the differences between this collection and his first solo CD :- 2004's SOLOMONOMANIA.

Yesterday DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS Guitarist NOBBY HENDRIX popped in to POPPO BABB and dropped off some of the last master tapes needed to start work on the 3rd DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS CD "SOUNDS OF THE DESERT" Most of the tracks will be from JANUARY/FEBRUARY 1986 and were recorded in Felling, Gateshead. This CD release should see the emergence of a few tracks to see the light of day on CD for the first time! As usual this CD will be released on POPPO BABB RECORDS and reports state we could see Album 4 (Untitled as of yet) out not too long after "SOUNDS OF THE DESERT". It was Nobby's first time in POPPO BABB and he could be back in the studio in January to re-record some of the CLASSIC D.I.P tracks with WOLFY & WARREN.

WOLFY WARPLOY made a triumphant return to recording tonight at POPPO BABB RECORDING STUDIOS. The Wolfster had a trail demonstration with one of the Studios Technicians and went on to record a STONKIN' demo version of "HERO" and in the words of Shit thick paddy non-entity X Factor wanker Louis Walsh "He made it his own"! Wolfy plans to get back in the studio as often as possible and hopefully record enough tracks for a solo CD in the new year! Pictures were taken of this momentous occasion and will be posted soon. As well as recording the track Wolfy was joined by Warren Peace who sat in on the recording process, this marked the nearest reformation of THE WAY yet, and rumors have it that THE WAY WILL be recording again together in the future and as 2006 marks the 20th anniversary of THE WAY'S last recording session it sounds like a well overdue reunion!!!!

In DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS related news WOLFY WARPLOY makes his first trip into POPPO BABB STUDIOS on Friday 16th December 2005. Wolfy has been working on a few new tunes and also has a cover of "HERO" by Enrieaky Englasiass ready to go. Warren Peace is also going to be in the studio and together the pair plan to record "as many tracks as possible"

Also work is nearly completed on Demolition In Progress Drummer :- Warren Peace's 2nd Solo bunch of Demo Recordings. We will be having an in depth Interview with Warren very soon. Warren is still locked up in POPPO BABB RECORDING STUDIOS.

Also DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS Drummer Warren Peace has been holed up in POPPO BABB RECORDING STUDIOS for the last few months recording Demo's for his Second CD "Maybe..Perhaps..Yes" and has quite a few of the 14 tracks recorded. He also has even laid a few rough tracks down for his 3rd Album! Warren says "Album 2 is quite different from the first Album with more intricate tunes". Some of the titles speculated for album 3 are :- "Bake The Steak", "The Kindness Of Japan" and "When oh When

Added a new lyrics section to the Demolition home page. Lyrics will appear all the time so check back regularly. Also not long now before DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS will be celebrating their 20TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!! This happens on the 14TH May 2004! HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU OLD BASTARDS !!!!!

Demolition In Progress drummer Warren Peace has today revealed that he is working on a solo project, " I've been wanting to record a solo effort for quite a while and feel the song's are now coming together!" The album has a working title of "SOLOMONOMANIA" Tracks are:- "MINI MOKE" "GORILLA SNUFF" "AFGANISTAN CAMERAMAN" "LAYDEN JAR" "THE YELLOW WATERS" "INSOLENT INSOUCIANT" "THE BALLAD OF THE BLIND MUSCIAN" "GLOVES OFF" "THE THEATRE OF THE ABSURD" & "UDO KIER". Warren says the tracks are fairly typical, but there are a few surprises.

The first release of Demolition In Progress on C.D is finally here, 20 years after they were first recorded (click here) for more info. The release showcases D.I.P's first ever practice and also tracks from 2 other early practices. It is also the only release to feature THE MAN IN BLACK on vocals.

Work has begun on the much anticipated RE-MASTERING of D.I.P's practice tapes. All recordings of D.I.P from 1984-1986 are being sifted through, and a March 2004 release date is tentatively being scheduled. The releases will be on :-POPPO BABB RECORDS™

Nobby Hendrix, Wolfy Warploy & Warren Peace met up today at Warren's gaff (pictures taken!). This was a fitting end to 2003, the year that marked D.I.P's triumphant return. Warren cooked up many sumptuous Chinese delights for the guitarists. Talk turned inevitably to the impending practice sessions and now that the festive season was out of the way, the dirty dipsticks will be looking for a suitable practice room. Nobby had brought a classic bunch of D.I.P hits round, and thus brought a nostalgic end to the preceedings.

Finally after much speculation, The 3 original members of DEMOLITION IN PROGRESS have met up for the first time in nearly 17 years!!!! Nobby Hendrix, Wolfy Warploy & Warren Peace, played an impromptu session at D.I.P STUDIOS. A number of old classics were dusted off ( pictures taken! ). This was the first time D.I.P had played together since 20th December 1986.

Nobby Hendrix & Warren Peace met up for last orders in THE HOSS, a good time was had by all and a pint or three was sunk!
